The Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad will close out the regular season this week before embarking on the class 1A regionals. The Sabers will take on Orient-Macksburg on Tuesday night before playing Lynnville-Sully in the first round of the regional on Thursday. Coach Trent Verwers tells KRLS Sports his defense has improved by leaps and bounds in the last two weeks partly because of the return to full health of Rylee Dunkin and Brooke Roby is also playing well as is the rest of the squad. He adds if they can just get a little more offense to go with the defense, they may have a shot at some wins as the season comes to a close.
