New faces will be joining the Pella High School Athletics Department after resignations were accepted by the Pella School Board Monday.

Dale Otte is resigning from his post as activities director at the end of the academic year. Otte has been leading the Pella Athletics Department since 2011, during what has been the best ever stretch of success in school history, which includes three state football championships, three team track and field state championships (two boys, one girls), a boys cross country and boys soccer title, and dozens of state team tournament appearances.

Catie Brand is stepping down as head coach of the Pella Volleyball Program. Since 2012, Brand has led the Lady Dutch to four state tournament appearances and 193 wins.

The search for their replacements is ongoing and should be completed by early this spring.
