All Iowa High School girls basketball teams now know their playoff destinations. The Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union released the brackets for Class 4A and 5A teams Wednesday afternoon.

In Class 4A, Knoxville will open the regional playoffs at home on Wednesday, February 19th, when they welcome Des Moines Hoover in Region 7. The winner will advance to take on No. 8 ranked Gilbert on the road on February 22nd. No. 12 Grinnell awaits on the other side of the bracket. Pella will open at home in Class 4A Region 6 against a familiar foe, as Little Hawkeye Conference opponent Oskaloosa will travel to the Tulip City on Wednesday, February 19th. The winner will take on Clear Creek Amana, who dropped out of the rankings in the most recent girls’ state poll, but were ranked 12th last week. The Lady Dutch can be heard on 92.1 KRLS.

In Class 5A, Indianola will be a host in the opening round on February 19th, when they welcome Des Moines East in Region 6. The winner will advance to play against No. 12 ranked Ankeny Centennial on the road on February 22nd. No. 5 Cedar Falls is the top seed in the regional bracket. Indianola postseason basketball will be live on 94.3 KNIA.
