The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad will start the class 1A regional journey with a home game tonight against Grand View Christian. The Saints have been improved this season with nine wins, but have lost their last two games. Coach Kesley Goff tells KNIA Sports a key tonight will be rebounding and getting second chance points.
Goff:
“We’ve been working on that whether it’s on the offensive or defensive side of the court putting those back up for easy shots. We take a lot of shots but don’t make a lot of them, so there’s a chance of them getting an offensive rebound to get an easy shot.”
The Thunder are on the opposite streak of the Saints as Grand View Christian is 11-10 and has won its last two games heading into tonight’s action. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00pm at Melcher-Dallas High School.
