The Indians also qualified for the state dual meet on Wednesday, and head coach Clint Manny tells KNIA News his teams chemistry and willingness to compete is what put them over the edge in the team dual.
“Our guys were going nuts for each other for each win, and that’s what it’s all about. We had a bunch of extra guys there, weighed in two guys at almost every weight. And I told them we didn’t bring you here to be spectators, we brought you here to support each other, push each other, and pick each other up when we fall, and they did a great job of that. That’s not something that happens overnight, it’s something those kids have developed over time and they have developed a love for each other. It’s pretty special to be a part of as a coach.”
The individuals will compete on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena, with full results of all state wrestling on KNIAKRLS.com.
