The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad will now turn its attention to the class 1A district on Thursday when the Saints travel to play Ankeny Christian. The Saints are coming off a needed regular season-ending win over Wayne on Friday 69-64. Coach Jim Wells tells KNIA Sports if his team can bottle the effort from Friday night, they will have a shot to pull off the upset on Thursday against the Eagles.

Wells:
“I think our team has grown all year long, they can play with anybody. But we have to go out there like we did last night (Friday) and we have to hit the offensive boards and keep the turnovers down. We had 19 offensive rebounds and only seven turnovers for the game, and I think that says a lot about the team.”

The Saints will take on Ankeny Christian Thursday at 8:00pm.
