The Pella City Council is holding budget workshops this week as they plan for fiscal year 2021. Work sessions will be held today and Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Pella Public Safety Complex. City Administrator Mike Nardini says the council will hear from leaders with the fire, electric, community services, library, and police departments, as well as public works, city hall, and planning and zoning. Council will also receive an overview of major projects proposed for the upcoming fiscal year, which will be included in a $45 million operating budget. The Pella City Council will also have a special session with Missouri River Energy Services about the Hydroelectric Plant prior to their regular meeting Tuesday, starting at 6 p.m.
