The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday. They received a presentation from the Pleasantville School District regarding its Facility Plans to which Pleasantville Schools Superintendent Tony Aylsworth told the council the school will ask residents for approval for the district to use money from the on Secure and Advanced Vision for Education fund as well as from the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy.
The council tabled a discussion regarding a parcel split application and water main extension for property located on W Pleasant Street until more information is provided as well as approved a septic disposal system for 1002 W Jasper Street.
The council approved chamber membership dues in the amount of $500 as well as denied a newsletter proposal. The newsletter would have been published online each month for the cost of $300. They approved the replacement of five sets of bleachers at the west ballfields for $5,040 and set a public hearing date of March 9th to consider fiscal year 2021 maximum property tax dollars. The council approved a resolution setting a public hearing for March 23rd for rezoning certain parcels of real estate from R-1 residential to C-1 commercial.
