The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in a special session Tuesday afternoon, discussing the alternate bid packages on the Warren County Justice Center project. Among the alternates in favor by all three members of the board was to excavate an approximate extra 9-10 thousand square feet in the basement, that would cost $650K, a mechanism for keeping snow and ice out of the secure entryway for $71K, and A/V equipment for the Iowa Court System that would cost $634K, but would be reimbursed to the county at an approximate 85-90% rate. No decisions were voted on by the board, and a public hearing on the official plans of the project will take place on February 27th.
