The Pella School Board set a public hearing date and discussed the 2021 fiscal year budget process at their meeting Monday. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the board received a presentation about the financial status of the district and a comparison of property tax rates and revenues over the past several years. Property tax rates are expected to remain steady for the upcoming tax year. Approval of the 2020-21 academic calendar also passed; the proposal closely aligns with the current calendar as it relates to total hours and breaks for various holidays. The board then entered into closed session to discuss bargaining for staff salaries. Hear more about this week’s Pella School Board meeting on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
