The season has come to a close for the Pleasantville girls basketball team. The Trojans finished eighth in the West Central Conference, and will graduate three seniors in Josie Hutchings, Alyssa McConnell and Bridgette McKinney. Head Coach Jeff Cook says his seniors were a vital part of his team this season, and losing them is always the toughest part of the season.
“That’s the toughest part of this every year, the seniors. That’s the fact, the finality is for those seniors is you win or go home, and that’s it. Most of the time, for the high school kids here, when you’re done here, that’s probably the last basketball uniform you’re going to wear. My seniors are really good kids and do a lot of things around the school. They’ll not only be missed on the basketball court, but throughout the school.”
The Trojans finished 8-14 overall and 3-11 in the West Central Conference.
