The PCM girls basketball team bowed out to North Polk in the regional playoffs. While a valuable senior class has departed the program, a good nucleus of players will return to next year’s team. Four juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen suited up for PCM this season, and Head Coach Jeff Lindsay says it was good to get the younger ones some varsity action as the season went on, in preparation for next year.
“We have some young, inexperienced girls that are going to have to come and be part of our team next year at the varsity level. And it was a good opportunity to throw them in there and give them a little taste of it and hopefully dangle that carrot there, so in the offseason they’re ready to get after it, and they see what it takes to have to play at this level.”
The Mustangs finished 10-13 overall, and will have said goodbye to four seniors.
