Elementary students from throughout Marion County came to the National Guard Armory in Knoxville on Thursday for the annual Ag in the Classroom presentation. The children learned more about farming and how it is connected to the community and local economy. Students were able to visit several stations to learn about livestock, food production and how many of the everyday items they use are directly connected to agriculture. Ag in the classroom is presented each year by Marion County members of the Iowa Farm Bureau.
