The Pella Community School District is now using the SafeSchools Alert app, which allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to administrators. Madison Elementary Principal John Steddom helps lead safety initiatives and training in the Pella Community School District, and says the technology is a way to enhance reporting of bullying, harassment, drugs, vandalism, threats of violence, or other issues in an anonymous way, if the reporter chooses to do so. SafeSchools Alert is available on the iPhone and Google Play app store, and those participating and reporting in Pella should use the identification code 1915 when making a report.
