The Knoxville City Council will meet in regular session tomorrow. The council will continue their discussion and consider an agreement between the City of Knoxville and the Marion County Humane Society related to the animal shelter and control services. The new agreement, if approved, would be a payment of $20,000 for this year until July, and $25,000 for the subsequent year, and then $30,000. After that fees will rise 2% a year. The city would retain the $50 fee charged to the owner of the animal. The council will also hold a discussion regarding police chief recruitment. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. and will be held inside the Municipal Building Council Chambers.
