Simpson athlete Sam Adeniyi became the first indoor champion since 2018 for the Simpson track and field teams after winning the heptathlon on the final day of the American Rivers Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. Adeniyi scored 4,667 points to garner all-conference honors for the second time in his career in the event. En route to grabbing gold, Adeniyi earned first in four events. His performances in the long jump (6.41m), high jump (1.91m) and 55-meter hurdles (8.15) are all facility records in the heptathlon. The Storm men ended the championships in sixth place overall.
