Both Indianola Community School District special election measures passed in the election held Tuesday, with voters approving the PERL Levy and Revenue Purpose Statement.
PERL Levy – Simple majority to pass
253 – Yes
123 – No
376 total votes
Revenue Purpose Statement – Simple majority to pass
279 – Yes
94 – No
373 total votes
Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the PERL Levy is not anticipated to result in a tax increase, and the Revenue Purpose Statement simply allows the school district to use sales tax revenues for school infrastructure.
