March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. According to the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. This year, more than 147,000 people will be diagnosed with the disease and will join more than 1.4 million colorectal cancer patients and survivors living today. To help bring awareness to the disease the hospital is asking everyone to wear blue today to support the patients, survivors and their families as well as bring awareness to the disease.
