The Central baseball team was in action over the weekend in Jacksonville, Ill. for a three-game series at MacMurray. The Dutch took two of three in the series, splitting the doubleheader on Saturday and winning the rubber match on Sunday.
MacMurray scored 10 runs over the first two innings in game one on Saturday en route to a 14-5 victory. Central responded with a shutout win in game two, 9-0. Central strung together a season-high 15 hits in Sunday’s game, a 15-2 victory to clinch the series. Central improves to 3-3 on the season. They’ll be back in action Saturday with their spring break trip to Florida.
