The Pella basketball team begins their 17th ever appearance at the state tournament in Class 3A later this afternoon. The No. 3 Dutch take on No. 6 Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the quarterfinals, with opening tip at 4:30. Pregame coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.

The tournament trail came to an end sooner than the boys from Eagle Lane had hoped, as No. 7 Pella Christian fell to No. 2 Treynor in a 69-53 state quarterfinals loss heard live on 92.1 KRLS Monday evening.

Pella Christian finished the 2020 season with their 15th state tournament appearance since 1990 and with an 13-11 record, and say farewell to 11 seniors on varsity.
