Indianola and area residents who have extra sports gear and equipment will have an opportunity to put it to good use and help those in need with the Play It Forward Spring Equipment Drive beginning on March 16th. There is a need for usable equipment during the spring and summer months ranging from bats, balls, and gloves to shoes, clothes, and helmets. Donations may be dropped off at the Indianola YMCA or Indianola Activity Center between March 16th and March 28th, and donated items will be given away on a first-come first served basis. The program also asks that older, unusable equipment and exercise equipment not be donated.
