The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board held a public hearing regarding the fiscal year 2021 proposed Marion County Budget. Following the public hearing they approved resolutions for the adoption of the fiscal year 2021 budget, elected official’s salaries as well as Marion County fund designation from Local Sales and Services Tax revenues in fiscal year 2021
The board approved the fiscal year 2021 Iowa Department of Transportation Secondary Road Budget as well as the Marion County fiscal year 2021 through 2025 Construction Five Year Program. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian highlighted a few projects the county will complete in the five-year span.
The board approved the renewal of a class C liquor license for Slideways in Knoxville as well as held a discussion regarding Marion County property/casualty coverage for the VA District and heard a Secondary Road Department activity update. They also held annual evaluations for the Marion County IT Director and County Zoning Director.
