The Warren County Engineer’s Office is taking advantage of some new equipment purchased this past year after additional funding was provided by the Warren County Board of Supervisors. Warren County Engineer David Carroll tells KNIA News the county can now transport rock to Warren County themselves instead of having to rely on outside contractors.

“The board allowed a max transfer of funds to our department, and that allowed us to purchase some belly-dump trailers and rock hauling trucks to get to the quarries that are located outside the county. We are seeing a profound impact from that, getting an additional boost of around 600 tons per day to the county. It only covers around 2-3 miles per day, but in the grand scheme of things in the long term that is a big boost to us and we are really seeing the impact of that.”
