The City of Indianola has released that the Public Safety Group is monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) illness. The Public Safety Group will be collecting data from official sources such as the Center for Disease Control and Iowa Department of Public Health, and will release information based on facts and historical testing of communicable diseases, and is trained to work in hazardous environments that are chemical or biological in nature. The city also announced as developments continue to unfold appropriate actions and steps will be implemented. A fact sheet, which will be updated as more information becomes available, is below.
