Today, Iowa High School basketball’s next round of state champions will be crowned at Wells Fargo Arena. Thirty years ago, perhaps the greatest basketball team in Marion County history accomplished the feat for the first time.

Earlier this week, the Eagles season ended with the program’s 15th trip to state, falling in the quarterfinals.
