The Simpson Storm baseball squad made the trek down to Florida this week, beginning their road trip to the sunshine state with an 8-5 victory over Wells. Sophomore Brady Held put the Storm up early with a two RBI triple in the top of the first, and it would be a lead the Storm would not relinquish. Simpson held a 2-1 lead all the way through to the 6th inning where they struck for another two runs, then scored another three in the top of the 7th to seal the win. Held ended up with a 3-5 day at the plate, while Brady Leonard picked up the win going five innings and giving up just one run. The Storm are now 3-4 on the young season, and will next play today against Wesleyan.
