While the Iowa High School Speech Association cancelled the 2020 Individual State Speech Competition and All-State Festival, schools have been given the option to hire their own IHSSA certified judges and have performers showcase their performances.

Pella and Pella Christian came together at Pella High School Saturday morning and had their 50 combined state qualifiers perform in front of parents and judges hired by the school in an effort to earn All-State nominations. The following student performers earned the highest individual honor from the IHSSA:

Maggie Leach – After Dinner (2019 and 2020 All-State nominee)
Hanna Kendall – Prose (2018 and 2020 All-State nominee)
Josephine McDonald – Poetry (9th grade team)

Ella Van Zee – Storytelling
