The Coal Ridge Church and Museum’s annual 5K Fun-Run and Wheel Barrow Race is just a few weeks away as this year’s race will be held on Saturday, April 4th at 9 a.m. with the Wheel Barrow Race to follow at 10 a.m. The deadline to register for the run is Wednesday, March 18th. Cost of the run is $20 if individuals register before March 18th and $25 after the 18th. Participants can also register for both the 5k and Wheel Barrow Race for $25 if they register prior to March 18th and for $30 after the 18th. Director of the run, Todd Rowland tells KNIA/KRLS News the 5k will take runners on a course that will feature the lake on both sides of the run at certain times which is different from most 5k’s He says the course goes through the campground area as well.
