Several Tulip City athletes earned postseason honors from the Little Hawkeye Conference.
For the second consecutive season, Pella Senior Logan Shetterly earned first-team All-Conference recognition on a unanimous vote. Against league competition, Shetterly averaged 20.4 points per game, 2nd in the conference to likely Mr. Iowa Basketball Bowen Born, and was 3rd in the conference with 71 assists and 4th with 30 steals.
Teammates John Oltman and Treyton Sturgeon were 2nd team selections. Oltman was 2nd in the conference with 50 three pointers against LHC competition, while Sturgeon’s 7.4 rebounds per game were 3rd best in the league and his 16 total blocks were 4th.
Pella Christian had two players earn 2nd team All-Conference honors. Josh Van Gorp earned his 2nd trip to the second team and led the Little Hawkeye with 10.5 rebounds per game and 115 total rebounds, and his 17 blocks were 2nd most in the conference. Dan Jungling averaged 13.9 points per game and tallied 19 steals.
Grant Nelson and Josh Warner of Pella, and the Eagles’ Jack Vermeer and Keean Cadwell earned Honorable Mention recognition.
