When looked back on in future years, many will see the 19-4 record of the 2019-20 Indianola boys basketball and see it as a huge success. Head coach Brett Watson agrees, but tells KNIA Sports there will always be a little bit extra when thinking back on this team just because of the way the guys played together.

“How much fun this team had. It’s hard when the season ends to look back because there is a lot of heartbreak, but when you take some time to get away and reflect, there were so many fun times they had together. The journey and process with these guys had so many wonderful memories I will have for years. Coming into the year, many people didn’t know, including us, what kind of season we would have, and we exceeded expectations internally and externally, and we just had a lot of fun this year.”

The Indians graduated six seniors, four of whom received regular playing time.
