The Pella City Council is holding several public hearings at their meeting this evening. Council will consider adopting the 2021 fiscal year budget, the urban renewal plan for the Prairie Ridge Housing Development, and separate agreements to authorize not-to-exceed limits for financing the proposed telecommunications utility, Lely North American Headquarters urban renewal plan, Pella Municipal Airport Wildlife Fence project, and hard surfacing of 218th Avenue from Neil Drive to Shady Brook — all of which will have public hearings. Council will also schedule a public hearing for April 21st to accept bids and award a contract for the Pella Fiber to the Home Network project, which will extend a fiber optic network to every home and business in the corporate limits.
The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7:00 this evening and will be held via teleconference, as all audio and screen sharing of the presentation will be available online at https://join.me/PellaCityCouncil or by dialing 720.650.5050 to encourage social distancing. Those attending via conference call will have the ability to provide verbal comments during the dedicated public forms and public hearings as indicated on the agenda.
