The Pella Community School District has joined several across the state, adhering to Governor Kim Reynolds’ recommendation to close schools until April 13th in response to community spread of COVID-19.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says while the district is on spring break now, they are trying to be proactive in ensuring the safety of students and staff, as well as the greater area community impacted by the pandemic.

Ebeling says they are working on remote education options and giving all students access to those programs and resources by March 30th. He says sack lunches will be available to students soon too, to make sure those who need food are getting what they need.

Pella Christian schools will also remain closed until April 13th. Hear more about the Pella School District’s response to COVID-19 on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
