A pair of Pella Christian Eagles made the Class 2A All-State boys basketball team this season. Seniors Dan Jungling and Josh Van Gorp both earned 3rd team honors from the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association.

Jungling averaged 12.8 points per game and shot 43 percent on three-pointers, while Van Gorp averaged 15.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, both helping to lead Pella Christian to the program’s 15th ever state tournament appearance.

Jungling, despite his basketball success, is pursuing football when he heads to Dordt University this fall, joining fellow multiple All-State football and basketball athlete and older brother Levi, as well as several former Eagles and Dutch.

Dan was also a 3rd team All-State Football player this past fall. Hear more from Jungling and other soon-to-be Pella Christian graduates about their upcoming collegiate athletics careers on today’s Radio Sports Page, beginning at 6 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.
