Like many area track and field squads, the Twin Cedars girls are on hold for the time being as the state has shut down all practices and events due to COVID-19. The Sabers are looking to have a solid season with several younger runners that excelled in cross country last fall and other sports this winter. Coach Cam Parker tells KRLS Sports he hopes the girls realize to make every sports count for now on and that high school sports is only a short time in their lives.
Parker:
“Hopefully they take it upon themselves and work and better themselves for the possibility the season does resume. I hope they realize they can’t take high school sports for granted and something like this takes it away from you.”
Like many area coaches, Parker is sending out workout routines the girls can do so they can be ready when the season resumes.
