The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms today. Conditions are favorable for fast-moving storms, capable of producing strong winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes this afternoon into the evening. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air live for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion or Warren Counties, with backup generators ensuring the coverage stays on if the power goes out. Following the severe weather, much colder air will again impact the region, as morning wind chills Friday will dip down into the teens.
