The list of awards keeps growing for Simpson men’s basketball senior Conor Riordan after he was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-West District and D3hoops.com All-West Region Second Team for his efforts this year, announced on Tuesday. The All-District and All-Region distinctions follow three postseason selections for Riordan as he landed on the Academic All-America First Team, American Rivers All-Conference First Team and Jostens Trophy ballot at the conclusion of his final season for the Storm. Riordan is the second player in team history to land on the All-Region team, joining Sam Amsbaugh, who was selected in 2017-18. The Ankeny, Iowa native finished fourth in the nation in free throw percentage at 91.3% en route to scoring 20.1 points per contest for third in the A-R-C. In 18 of the team’s 27 games, Riordan tallied more than 20 points, with a career-high 39 against Greenville on Nov. 23. Riordan ended the year with 1,533 career points for eighth in program history.
