The Indianola High School Academic Decathlon team took home eighth place with a total of 26,164 points at the state competition in Waterloo earlier this month. Junior Jared Overmann took home a bronze medal in math in the honors large division. Sophomore Noah King earned a gold medal in math in the varsity large division, as well as a bronze medal in economics in the varsity large division. Senior Jillian Norton won the silver medal in math in the varsity large division. Twelve teams competed at the state meet.
