The Indianola Chamber of Commerce is asking both businesses and customers to be more flexible during the state of emergency, and more importantly for the community to support local businesses so they can remain in business during the state of emergency. Chamber President and CEO Brenda Easter tells KNIA News it will not only have to be on the customers to help support the local economy, it will be up to businesses to change their practices for the current time.

“I think for some of our local businesses, who perhaps didn’t have it in their original business model, this gives them an opportunity to fill a void in the community. So, I’ll be working with local restaurants to see if they can do take-out, do delivery if possible, especially to those who can’t make it out of their home, or do drive through with the proper precautions. Just keeping those options available for people.”
