If the track and field season does get going this season after April 13th, the Knoxville Girls Squad looks to have a solid season this spring. One runner that Coach Brad McWilliams spotlights is a returning senior Abbey Jackson. Jackson is a past state meet qualifier and was injured for the last half of the 2019 season. McWilliams tells KRLS Sports Jackson is determined to rectify last season with a great senior season.

McWilliams:
“She’s been the one that’s called and checked in as much and always wanting to know what to do and what to work on. The way her year finished last year, she just couldn’t go with the injury so she’s looking forward to going this year.”

Jackson led the Panthers last season in the 100, 200, and 400, plus anchored the 4x-400 meter relay.
