lunch-pickup

The Knoxville Community School District will be providing free meals to all students starting today through Friday, April 10th. The meal sack will contain both breakfast and lunch. Pick up will occur in the student parking lot of the high school from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Person tells KNIA/KRLS News no one will have to get out of their car to get the meal sack. She says the event will truly be car delivery. Pearson says there will be multiple stations to hand out the food and the district hopes to get as many students fed as possible throughout the closure. Parents and or students are asked to use the west entrance on Willetts Drive only. The pick up lanes will then exit onto Madison Street. Students do not have to be in the vehicle. The program will be extended if school remains closed longer than this timeframe.
