The Knoxville Girls Track and Field distance runners could be a formidable force should the season resume after April 13th. Norah Pearson had one of the greatest seasons a Panther cross country runner has ever had after placing fifth at the state cross country meet this past fall and setting numerous school records. Panthers Track Coach Brad McWilliams tells KRLS Sports he is expecting a lot from Pearson while also managing her schedule as she is also planning to play soccer this spring along with track and field.

McWilliams:
“She’s come out and going at it too, and she’s doing both soccer and track so we won’t have her for every meet, but she will compete hard and had a very good cross country season and we’re looking to have a big season from her as the season gets going.”

McWilliams ads when practice was shut down they were working a lot on finishing speed and making sure they have enough left for the final kick.
