The Pleasantville Girls Track and Field team has high expectations for the upcoming season. With a plethora of returners from state qualifying events, excitement was on the rise before the abrupt stoppage of the season. Head Coach Aaron Fichter highlights one event in particular he believes could excel this season and do well at state.

“Our 4×100 that placed third last year, we returned everybody. Rae Speicher, Sam Entinger, Emily Smith and Kasey Pelzer. All of those kids have been foundational kids, they come to everything, they’re highly motivated, they encourage all the kids. So the expectation there is, they really want to win a state title.

If the season does resume as scheduled on April 13th, Pleasantville’s first scheduled meet would be Tuesday, April 14th at Pella Christian.
