A Pella Christian basketball starter intends to continue his athletics career in Orange City.

Ryan Vande Haar will play for the Northwestern Red Raiders this coming winter. Vande Haar looks forward to joining a program rich in tradition, with 13 trips to the NAIA National Tournament in the past 20 seasons under head coach Kris Korver.

Vande Haar averaged just over six points per game and had a team-leading 79 assists for the Eagles that qualified for the program’s 15th state tournament appearance this past season. Hear more from Ryan on this Wednesday’s Radio Sports Page, airing at 6 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.
