The Indianola City Council met in regular session Wednesday evening. The council approved the FY21 budget, which mirrors the expansion of the FY20 budget that grows the public safety of the city adding extra police officers and equipment as well as library staff. The council also approved sign exemption requests from Parker Signs and Graphics, approved items on the E Iowa Ave paving project, denied the nomination from Susan Glick to the IMU Board of Commissions, and discussed recycling fees before going into closed session to discuss litigation.
