The Pella community had a special birthday today. Leona “Lee” Zylstra, the fifth ever Tulip Queen, turned 100 years old. She was crowned Tulip Queen in 1940 and was named the Birthday Queen at Vriendshap Village today, where she currently resides, according to the retirement home’s Facebook page.
