It’s no April Fools — Pella High School’s Logan Shetterly had a change of heart, and while he will still wear the red and white of the Central Dutch, he will do so as a basketball player.

Shetterly had tough decisions to make about his future, as he was an All-State selection on both the gridiron and on the basketball court. But after an initial decision to play football for the storied Dutch football program, Shetterly found a new passion for the game of basketball during a stellar senior campaign, in which he led Pella to the program’s 17th ever state tournament appearance, and he credits Pella Head Coach Derek Schulte for renewing that love.

Logan is joining teammate John Oltman and crosstown rival Josh Van Gorp from Pella Christian for a local boost of talent not seen for many years in one single Central College team. Hear all three on tonight’s Radio Sports Page, beginning at 6 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS.
