If the spring sports season resumes this season, it will be mostly a year of rebuilding for the PCM boys track and field team. One athlete is back that will be expected to make a difference this season. Nigel Sperfslage was one of the top athletes the Mustangs had last season, and qualified for state in three events. Head Coach Collin Harrison says Sperfslage has some unfinished business to take care of this season.

“Nigel Sperfslage, he’s one of our seniors that made it in three events to state last year. He’s a 400 hurdler, shuttle hurdles, also runs some 2’s and 4’s and things like that. Hopefully the season does happen because he’s a senior and he’s kind of got that bad taste in his mouth from last year where he wants to avenge some things, because at the state meet he didn’t quite perform the way he wanted to. So I know he’s really hoping the season gets rolling for that.”

If the season resumes on April 13th and meets resume then as well, PCM will be at Pella Christian on April 14th for their first action of the season.
