Governor Kim Reynolds announced Thursday an extension of school closures throughout Iowa. As a result, school buildings in the Knoxville Community School District will remain closed through at least Thursday, April 30th.
According to the district, they will continue to provide meal services and online learning resources for their students.
The district thanks everyone for their patience and understanding as they have navigated this very challenging and uncertain time. The district urges everyone to continue to practice social distancing and stay at home as much as you can to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
In addition to Knoxville, the Indianola Community School District has also extended their closure, currently through April 30th. District teachers are currently learning and working themselves to develop ways to continue to connect and to ramp up content and feedback for students as the closure continues.
