The City of Knoxville and the Knoxville Community School District have closed all public playgrounds and structures within the city limits of Knoxville effective Friday, April 3rd to help slow the spread of COVID-19 

The city and school district have decided to close all playgrounds and structures following recommendations from the Iowa Department of Public Health, The National Recreation and Park Association and the CDC. 

All park green spaces, basketball courts and tennis courts will remain open to the public. The city and the school district encourage residents to enjoy these areas of the park while following recommended social distancing guidelines.
