As Melcher-Dallas looked at the 2020 football schedule last week for the first time, many in the community could not help but notice Twin Cedars was not on the schedule. Saints Athletic Director Jim Crozier, a former football coach who has been a part of several of the Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars confrontations, tells KNIA Sports it is disappointing to see and adds the state gives eight-man teams no say so in their schedules.

Crozier:
“Very disappointed in it. Eight-Man kind of gets the shaft in picking their games, the other classes get to at least put a few teams on their list as a number one and usually the association grants that.”

The two rivals started playing in 1990 and have played 27 total times including twice in 2002. Melcher-Dallas leads the all-time series 16-11 and have won the last three meetings.
